SCNA may host a Saturday blood drive at the Sandwich Central School - please take the survey to gauge community interest

  • Sandwich Central School 28 Squam Lake Road Sandwich, NH, 03227 United States (map)

Interested in donating blood but have trouble making it to the weekday blood drives in other towns? The Sandwich Community Nurse Association may host a Saturday blood drive at the Sandwich Central School.

We need to gauge community interest before the American Red Cross will schedule this session. If you might be willing to donate, please respond to this 60 second survey to let us know. Your response is an indication, not a final commitment.

Blood donors perform a critically important role in community health. There is no substitute for human blood. Patients in trauma situations, service members, veterans, cancer patients, and individuals with chronic illnesses depend on volunteer donors every single day. One donation can help save more than one life by providing red cells, plasma, and platelets to those in need.

Blood donation typically takes 10 minutes or less, with the entire appointment completed in 45 minutes to an hour. In return donors get a mini-physical that includes blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron-level. And they have the satisfaction of knowing they make a tangible difference for multiple patients.

Blood supplies often run low during peak demand in summer and winter, holidays, and emergencies. When shortages occur, hospitals and emergency responders face challenges in caring for surgery patients, accident victims and patients with ongoing transfusion needs.

If you think you might be willing, please take a moment to fill out this form: Sandwich Community Nurse Association's Blood Drive Interest Survey

Your feedback will help us determine logistics, finalize potential dates, and ensure smooth coordination with the school and American Red Cross.

Thanks for considering this important opportunity!
